Job Description:
Your main mission as a Customer Sales and Service Representative will be to work the front lines of customer service and leave a positive impression with current and prospective clients. You will assist with client questions, upsell, cross sell and take care of initial sale when clients call for quotes. You will accomplish this by keeping accurate and thorough records of your activity.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Responsibilities:
o Quote new business through a variety of sources: Farmers.com leads, 21st Century Leads, agency website requests by potential client, and cross sell Farmers service center new business opportunities.
o Communicate with customers and navigate their insurance information
o Identify opportunities to upsell or cross sell based on customer needs
o Provide expert professional support to the agency team as to ensure proper workflow procedures are adhered to mitigate future E&O situations.
o Troubleshoot and handle customer service issues and resolve them quickly
o Forward information by answering the telephones, receiving and sending emails, note taking and delivering messages.
o Work as part of the team on special sales projects to attract new clients
o Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information, establishing priorities, problem solving and execution.
o Welcome visitors or potential customers and refer them to appropriate person or deal with them directly to discuss a new insurance proposal or existing policies.
Requirements:
o Ability to work in fast paced customer focused office environment
o Experience with phone based or in person customer service, ideally with a sales component
o NY P&C License preferred
o Possess strong organizational and communication skills
o Attention to detail to ensure that information you are responsible for will be entered in to the system in an efficient and accurate manner
Summary:
As an insurance customer sales and service representative, you are required to resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner. This must always be done in a calm and courteous manner. The average customer decides whether to change their insurance or stay with their current agent largely based on the friendliness and professionalism of the individual in this position.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
